 On the 2nd of October at 12pm members of An Spréach and D8HAC will be brought before the courts for Hearing on politically motivated trumped-up charges pertaining to an incident in Tom Kelly Flats, where the housing activists were investigating whether it was feasible or not to house people in need in some of the empty and unused vacant flats, within the complex. It wasn’t long before the hired goons of the state arrived on the scene and quickly hampered any plans made as they arrested all eight activists, charging them with trespass. This is the typical reaction that is to be expected from the state whenever people try to organise themselves, and serves to deter the working class from taking matters into their own hands, challenging the political hegemony of the state. |
