Yeah, miracles are possible, booze works too. a few years back a guy said hello to me i a pub, i didnt recognise him. apparently the previous week i had given him a materialist perspective on "moving statues". lost to posterity, i had no memory of it. amazing what 10 pints of guinness can do.

So if tomorrow someone said "the truth on 911 is out there" it would change history?
Would you think your life of precarity and internalised capitalism would be different if the scientific community could define a soul? an afterlife? tell you how to build a pyramid?
No. this is what people talk about because its their culture.

maybe the counter revolutionaries in the vatican will give you a look at some of their original documents so you can debunk their revisionist history of the life of jesus.

If I give you 3 grammes of Ketamine under lab. conditions you'll go into coma, have a wonderful Near Death Experience and come out the other side burbbling and then ever so mystical. Or if you don't like chemicals just go boil up some mandrake and fly agaric and make sure you have someone on hand with an oxygen supply and some synthetic adrenaline.

We have miracles all the time. To be alive is a miracle. What has changed is the "writing up" and "marketing" of miracles.

**** readers please note, imitation of the resurrection is dangerous. Any deaths encurred by readers of indymedia during metaphysical drugged up research are not the responsibility of any contributor or the imc network.
***** just believe the effin story.
****** or come up with a better on.

"No schoolyard atheist can prove or not prove the resurrection"

and no cyberchristian can prove or not prove the ressurection. nor can they disobey the laws of gravity. why is there such a paucity of miracles these days?

Much of Italy and beyond has been giggling at this case for the last weeks, because we know "jesus" existed. Indeed .:. we know there was much more to the "jesus" story that got through the years. Proper historical research has confirmed the existence of him and several others. That he existed or not is not really important. He's not famous for having lived. He's famous for having been tortured, abused and crucified and then the really nifty bit -
"coming back from the D-e-a-d".

No schoolyard atheist can prove or not prove the resurrection, and in the days of intensive surgical care on brains reduced to mush which keep leaders of the Levant "alive" days past their "natural deaths" as was the case with Arafat and is the case with Sharon, its not really such a miracle anymore. But I hope others will be moved to test their own states, institutions and monoliths of culture.

maybe soon a junior cert student will bring the case we're waiting on -
"did Cuchulann really exist, and was he really a gouger giant capable of taking on the rottweillers of his day?"

Thats nailed him! Perhaps Richard Dawkins could be called as an expert witness.
