At 3:30 pm, Two Hours of Speaker's Square began in Temple Bar Square, Dublin City. Three regular speakers and one by-stander held forth on various issues, and interjections from many (of the up to 20 audience), were numerous.

Speaker's Square or Cearnóg na gCainteoirí is an occasional experiment which was revived in April 2004, and its aim, apart from to engage in stimulating realtime discussion, is to reclaim our public space from its commercial surrounds; and to fill it with ideas and opinions that one are not likely to find in the mainstream media.
