The use of radioactive material in dessert terrain creates what is know as Deadly Desert Dust, radiation is carried in the sand, the sand then distributed widely by the wind with awful consequences.

There has been a huge increase in cancer rates in some areas of Iraq, some research uncovered that children played in the shells of blown up tanks, and were exposed to radioactive material from the uranium tipped shells the U.S used to blow them up.
