A flotilla of 'Little Ships' crossing the English Channel to commemorate the Dunkirk evacuation was forced to divert so Border Force could escort a migrant boat to Britain. Why wasn't it being escorted back to France?

Help Stop The Race To The Bottom In Sweden

category international | worker & community struggles and protests | other press author Friday July 21, 2006 15:48author by Young Anarchist - Anarchist Youth Report this post to the editors

International Solidarity

The Swedish Anarchosyndicalist Youth Federation (SAYF) have called for help in shutting down the wage-dumping site - http://jobbjakt.se/
The site allows potential employees to bid against each other for jobs by offering to work for lower wages, the person who goes the lowest wins the job.

This sick race to the bottom which pits workers against each other should be stopped before it catches on. SWAF are asking people to create fake accounts on this site in an effort to make the site unworkable.

Love Kids??? alarms are a ringing, the IP address wasn't from the UAE by any chance.

With enterprises like this, you'll get what you pay for, a few desperate (and skilled) workers may have to use it every now and again, but I doubt its popularity or life span will make slaves of us all.

I just scouted round that site, read the introduction and then went job-hunting to see if I'd be prepared to undercut other peoples' valuations of vital services. Hmmmmm - what are vital services? Well I chose babysitting and journalism.
(1)
Some woman wants her kids looked after offering a starting bid of 50 kronner (approximately 5.41eu an hour) and so far 1063 people have visitd the page and 5 people are haggling over how little they do'll the work for - one person doesn't really want any cash at all "love kids".
????
Like hello????
(2)
Company looking for a journalist to work on trade magazine opening bid 120sk (13eu an hour) lowest offered 90sk (9.75eu) highest amount shown I presume is what someone thinks such work is worth :- 450sk. = 48.75€

I wonder do they do hip replacements?

I fear this will spread.
