Justin Trudeau wants to prorogue Parliament to buy time before the election. Voters will punish him for it, says Prof James Allan, but it's a mistake he must be allowed to make without activist judges getting in the way.

Jordan Peterson should make his mind up about Christianity, critics say. Prof James Alexander disagrees: he's a profound Jungian explorer who wants to help a secularised world see why Christianity still matters.

But if they don't check private planes what the point?

The City Of Derry Airport is expected to be the first in Europe to officially ban controversial CIA flights transporting terror suspects to secret prisons, it emerged today.
The publicly-owned airport confirmed it is working out the practicalities of an ``anti-rendition'' policy after discussions with Amnesty International.

At the minute the practicalities of this are being looked at by council officers with a view to bringing a motion before the council - I obviously hope we can do that

Airport manager Seamus Devine confirmed he is exploring the practicalities of implementing a policy that would lead the way in banning rendition stopovers.

His findings are expected to inform a debate by councillors at the council`s next full meeting on March 27."It`s something that we are currently discussing," he said."When we are satisfied that such a policy can be implemented then the council can discuss it."

Amnesty`s Patrick Corrigan said: "We are really encouraged by the interest shown by Derry City councillors in adopting this policy and taking a lead in the campaign to stop the practice of rendition."

Former Guantanamo Bay detainees, the so-called Tipton Three - Rhuhel Ahmed, Asif Iqbal and Shafiq Rasul - are travelling to Derry next week. The trio who featured in the award-winning film, The Road To Guantanamo, are expecting to speak with councillors ahead of a vote on the anti-rendition policy.
