Present case numbers for the ?K? variant Super-Flu don't justify the hype, says Dr David Livermore. Perhaps it's the media lust for fear porn, or perhaps the Government's fear of the strike, but it's not a Super-crisis.

ACTION ALERT! Contact 'Lara Boutique' and TV3

category dublin | animal rights | other press author Thursday March 18, 2010 21:04author by Laura Broxson - CAFT Irelandauthor email caftireland at gmail dot comauthor address PO Box 11019, Dublin 2 Report this post to the editors

Hi,

It was brought to our attention that 'Lara Boutique' was recently shown on an episode of TV3's 'Xpose'.

In the episode, real fur was casually shown and promoted - and the presenter, Glenda Gilson, even joked that "animal rights people wouldn't be happy".

I dropped into 'Lara Boutique' today to discuss a possible fur-free policy, but the manager was unwilling to talk about it, and was quite uptight and rude.

The shop doesn't currently have any real fur items, but this will not be a permanent status. I will be monitoring the situation, and will organise protests if I see any real fur in the shop.

Please contact them now, politely asking that they adopt a fur-free policy. It would also be beneficial to visit the shop to peacefully make a complaint in person.

Here are the details for both premises:

Lara Boutique Dublin
1 Dame Lane, Dublin 2, Ireland
Tel: 00353 (0) 1 670 7951
Fax: 00353 (0) 1 633 4516

Lara Boutique Dublin
15 Terenure Place, Terenure, Dublin 6W, Ireland
Tel: 00353 (0) 1 499 1622
Fax: 00353 (0) 1 499 1620

Email: info@larasfashion.com

Please also lodge a complaint with TV3, and ask that they refrain from supporting animal abuse in future episodes:

TV3
Westgate Business Park, Ballymount, Dublin 24

Thank You,
