Fat-Cat Irish Politicians Too Fat for Flak-Jackets - No Kabul

"Read to Beleive" "They can't go to Kabul - because of overload!" The popular Mexican newspaper, Reforma, reports today - Sunday 7th November, 2010 - that some Irish legislators or politicians have been prevented from going to visit Kabul, Afghanistan. The reason? We don't apparently have bullet-proof jackets that will actually fit them. |

"Lord Ken Maginnis and David Simpson, DUP, had been due to fly out this week to meet soldiers from the Royal Irish and the Irish Guards but the Army couldn't find flak jackets large enough to fit them."
But we're all very ecumenical and inclusive-nationalist here, I'm sure.
So of course we can accept them as our (prodigal - prodigious?) Irish brethren. And I'm sure there are working-class loyalists who wouldn't argue with the "fat-cat" label....
"The reality is that we have young men and women out there fighting for us. They are putting their lives on the line. They deserve a little bit of consideration..."
I could make a very cynical comment on that, but that would be just not nice at all.
"9mm Willie" O'Dea probably has a few flak jackets in his attic
Along with a few bats in his belfry
and a few skeletons in his closet
[and a tiny penis by the sound of it!]
Bit of a redner that.
Me thinkin the soldiers of density were the usual suspects. Sure Kenny Boy should have a few old flak jackets of his own up in the attic.
Check the names again opus me old flower. Them boys won't be converting anyone to Maynooth's particular brand of worship!!
Tell them its a junket and half them will be wiped out in the crush trying to get priority.
Mind you, the tammany survivors will probably finish up takin over the taliban and converting the poor bastards to Maynooth superstitions.
I mean, what have the Afghans ever done to us?
We should send all the "soldiers of destiny" to Afghanistan for a LONG tour of duty. WITHOUT flak jackets.
After all they happily supported the US illegal wars by giving Shannon airport to the US and they are happily condemning us all to a poverty and unemployment gulag here in Ireland
I don't know how the politicians concerned would feel about being described as "Irish", even in a Mexican newspaper.
