Julian Assange interviewed by David Frost on Al Jazeera
Julian Assange interviewed by RT after release of "collateral murder" video
Julian Assange may be imprisoned but Wikileaks is still operational, still releasing the information that Obama and Clinton do not want us to see. False rape charges have been filed against Assange in Sweden so that he might be extradited to there and then on to the US where he would likely face life imprisonment. More likely death as its very easy to arrange murder inside a federal prison.
Those who have collaborated with the attempts to close down Wikileaks have learned there is a price to pay.
Below is a statement from Wikileaks. This is followed by excerpts from other articles regarding Wikileaks.
STATEMENT: "We will not be gagged" #cablegate #censorship
Following the detention of Wikileaks founder and editor-in-chief Julian Assangem, Wikileaks spokesman Kristinn Hrafnsson said:
"Today, Wikileaks editor-in-chief Julian Assange was refused bail by a UK court. While we are troubled by this bizarre decision, we know Julian is grateful for the support of both his legal team and prominent figures such as Ken Loach, Jemima Khan and John Pilger.
"However, this will not stifle Wikileaks. The release of the US Embassy Cables – the biggest leak in history – will still continue. This evening, the latest batch of cables were released, and our media partners released their next batch of stories.
"We will not be gagged, either by judicial action or corporate censorship. Today Visa joined Mastercard, Paypal, Amazon, EveryDNS and others in cutting off their links.
"Wikileaks is still online. The full site is duplicated in more than 500 locations. Every day, the cables are loaded more than 50 million times.
"US Senator Joe Lieberman today attacked the New York Times for its decision to publish the cables, just days after calling for companies to boycott Wikileaks.
"Just minutes later, the State Department announced the US will host next year’s UNESCO Press Freedom day. The irony is not lost on us. We hope in future, UNESCO celebrates press freedom somewhere where it exists."
The website of MasterCard, the international credit card, has been hacked and partially paralysed by hackers, in apparent revenge for the payment network's decision to cease taking donations to WikiLeaks

Charles Arthur, the Guardian’s technology editor, points out that while MasterCard and Visa have cut WikiLeaks off you can still use those cards to donate to overtly racist organisations such as the Knights Party, which is supported by the Ku Klux Klan

Assange Could Face Espionage Trial In US
By Kim Sengupta
Informal discussions have already taken place between US and Swedish officials over the possibility of the WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange being delivered into American custody, according to diplomatic sources
When Interpol Cares About Sexual Assault
By Laura Flanders
Tell it to hundreds of women in US jails and immigration detention centers -- who charge that they can't get justice against accused rapists -- or women in the US military (two of out three of whom allege they've experienced assault.) In Haiti hundreds of unprosecuted cases of rape in refugee camps could use some of Interpol's attention
Having watched the ‘collateral murder”clip of the attack by the yank helicopter gunship crew, I would have thought there was a clear case for murder charges, but no, instead they try to fit up the person who exposed them. Incidentally I notice that coverage of Julian’s ‘legal proceedings’ on our ‘public service’ broadcaster has been limited to put it mildly.

The Empire On The Prisoners' Dock
By Fidel Castro
Julian Assange, a man who was known by very few people in the world a few months ago, is showing that the most powerful empire that ever existed in history can be challenged.
The daring challenge was not coming from a rival superpower; from some State with more than a hundred nuclear weapons; from a group of nations with enormous natural resources, something the United States cannot do without; or from a revolutionary doctrine capable of shaking the foundations of the empire that bases itself on pillage and exploitation of the world.
"Guardians of women’s rights" in the British liberal press have rushed to condemn the WikiLeaks founder. In fact, at every turn in his dealings with our justice system, his basic human rights have been breached

Totally overlooked the earlier precedent when we(in de gnash-nail interest)taxpayers bailed out the vatican bank to compensate the paedophile criminals and their aiders and abettors. Michael Woods, take a bow.
Not only do we pay for white-collar criminals crimes, we are so forgiving(now which stone did we lick that one off?)we continue to tolerate the clerical-collared vampires.
Must be cos we're all in it together, and we cant have blame games for the pillars of our sick little island. I think I'll join Paisley's gang.

thats what I meant.
But now that you ask, you could throw in the blood bank(remember that one), the sell out of the Porcupine Bank and our fisheries for the CAP in hand agri-business lobby, de boy from de banks of our own luvly Lee who stood idly wringing his hands as Israel shredded our travel documentation for its assassination terror policies and muttered when Zion attacked Irish aid on the way to Gaza.......the offshore bankers of looted profits from privatised industries built with taxpayers' investment, the homeless on the canal banks and the banked up anger of those of us sick of the mealy-mouthed spindustrial revolutionaries infesting what passes for democratic debate on this lump of rock ....the use of our civilian air facilities on the banks of the Shannon to support the premeditated (and escalating without any lessons being drawn)mercenary resource wars in the oil reservoir....
But lets just leave at Anglo. I'm probably off-topic already.
For an example of the spin applying, and selective concentration, compare the attention to hearing Adams denying prior knowledge of the Northern Bank job(nano compared to the southern bank-job) with the almost universal elision of the communications between the Roman Sanhedrin and our resident IMaFFia.

Anonymous urges global protests
A group of self-styled internet freedom fighters have called for a global day of action in protest at attempts to close down Wikileaks.
Anonymous has gained notoriety in recent months for its cyber-attacks on the websites of companies it deems to be anti-Wikileaks.
Now, in a new video posted on its blog, it calls for a series of offline protests.
These are planned for major cities around the world on 15 January.
"The internet needs champions and we will rise...We are Anonymous and so are you. Stand up and fight. Every city, everywhere," the video message said.

It takes the wonders of the world wide internet to explore / out , the truth ..
Whether we like it or not this is the future of ' Whistleblowing ' .
This is our window to the world , respect it & respect the people who dare to reveal the truth .
There's an Irish mirror of Wikileaks at http://wikileaks.prometheus.ie/ and an article on the same site calling for independent tribunals to investigate both the allegations surrounding Assange and the possibility of US-Swedish collusion: http://prometheus.ie/content/investigating-assange-swed...e-law.
