A flotilla of 'Little Ships' crossing the English Channel to commemorate the Dunkirk evacuation was forced to divert so Border Force could escort a migrant boat to Britain. Why wasn't it being escorted back to France?

Murder of Russian Anti-Fascist Condemned

category dublin | rights, freedoms and repression | press release author Saturday November 19, 2005 21:52author by Solidarity Report this post to the editors

The Irish Republican Socialist Youth Movement has sent solidarity messages to their Russian Anti-Fas comrades following the savage murder of one of its members.

Statement on murder of Russian Anti-Fascist

The Republican Socialist Youth Movement condemns unreservedly the savage murder of twenty year old Russian Anti-Fascist Timur Kacharava by Russian Nazis on the evening of November 13. Timur and a friend were standing in the street when they were set upon by a Nazi gang, Timur died after being stabbed multiple times in the neck. His friend survived the attack but is still in hospital, despite being stabbed five times.

Timur was active in the Russian punk community, playing lead guitarist for the band ‘Sandinista!’, he was active in the anarchist circles and was involved in active confrontation with Nazis on the streets as well as the Food Not Bombs project.

We call upon all Anti-Fascists and leftists both at home and abroad to maintain vigilance and to unite and organise in opposition to Fascism which ultimately must be smashed through a broad campaign headed by the working class.

Please don't debase his memory by pretending to have anything in common with him, he was an anarchist and an active part of his local hardcore scene, people from dublins "hardcore" scene have actually met him before he died.

He would want nothing to do with nationalists like you.

Solidarity is something more than a post on the internet.

surely you should welcome support from the RSYM. Do you only want the purest of the pure to condemn themurder? If so you will find yourself in a tiny band of ultra leftists.

this story is about the murder of an anarchist and antifascist . if you have a gripe with the RSYM then you should write a story about it.

your comments here are taking away from the memory of Timur Kacharava .
